First week on the road

Well we are now north of Bodega Bay in CA at Clearwater state campground. We spent the first night of the trip outside Hanford, CA boondocking in an agricultural parking lot.

The next several nights were spent in Discovery Bay, CA at Bev’s sisters Barbara’s home. All of the homes here are on the Delta with boat docks for backyards. Barbara even has a pool sunken into the water on the boat dock behind her home. She is now in the process of building a barbeque in the dock. We enjoyed our visit with her and her hospitality.

My sister Pearl and her husband Bob met us there and we then continued on June 2 to north of Bodega Bay. Well it’s time for a walk and see the campground.

We have driven a short distance north of Fort Bragg in northern CA. Staying in MacKerrick State Campground on the coast. This is a really nice site.
We were going to take the Skunk train (steam engine) to Willits from here but the steam engine is being worked on this week so that is a no go. Too bad because the ride thru the redwoods is great. It has been somewhat foggy along the coast and the view has not been the greatest.
