Kino Home

Well I have come back from Kino Bay. The weather was great with sunny days in the mid 80's and nights about high 60's. I was there to see how the final touches were going on the home my wife and I had built there were progressing. I am happy to say that the closets were complete with the closet poles up and the cabinets installed.

They have almost finished the powder room off the kitchen (tile work and cabinet are in) and only have to install the sink and the faucet.

The rope lights under the kitchen counter are installed and we just need to finish with the accent lights in the ceiling. These are hard to get and have a red to yellow filter on them to accent the red brick in the ceiling.

The dining room table and the patio furniture I brought down this time with me so that I had a place to lounge around out in the patio while looking at the ocean and the pelicans while they were doing a feeding frenze on a school of fish.

I hope that the pictures give you all an idea of the work that was done.

Lastly I added a photo of the new pier in Kino Bay. The old one was damaged in a storm and it was quite an effort for them I feel to build a new pier so fast and it's really a nice addition to the town.

Mexico Weekend

Well tonight I will be heading for Kino Bay again. It will be good to see what progress has been made on the house. I hope to say that we are finished but I think that a house is never finished but now is move in and habitate time. This has been a lonf 2+ year process and I am glad to see the end of it.
My good friend David McGrew will be coming with me and so I will have someone to trade off the driving with. That should help but I will miss having Bev (wife) with me. She and Vera (daughter) and Christopher (grandson) will be going to San Diego for the weekend.
So hopefully some pictures from KB on the next post.

Well I did some getting ready work on what is to be our home for six months starting in June. The RV needed to be serviced and the Jeep also. Installed a transmission temperature guage in the RV and a quick change fuel filter kit and new fuel filter. The jeep needs a new radiator and new wiper blades. Things are looking up for Alaska and the time is getting short.
I still have to purge and refress the fresh water tanks and install the computer cabinet as well as the wifi and internet gear. Probably next week and then stock it for the trip.
Thats all for now and will be back next week.

This is just to try the ability to post pictures. This photo was taken on the patio of our home in Kino Bay, Sonora Mexico. The water is warm the wine is chilled and the weather is great.
