Windsor to Niagara Falls
Unfortunatly this blog is out of sequence, but here goes
We left Windsor this morning and were sad to leave. The hospitality shown to us by John and Mary Fletcher and George will be sorely missed. There is so much to do in the area with its wonderful museums, art institutions and history you could really spend at least two weeks there and not see it all. Between the Ford Museum, Greenwood Village, The Detroit Institute of Art, Malden Fort, the Windsor Art Gallery, etc and I know that we did not cover all of it. Perhaps another trip will b e necessary.
The drive up was all freeway from the 401 Frw to the 403 Frw to the QEW and then into Niagara Falls.
It started out as flat farmland wit acres of corn fields and soy beans. Later the terrain turned to low rolling hills with lots of vineyards as we grew nearer to the Falls area. Naturally with vineyards you get wineries and there seemed to be an unending stream of them with signs along the road. Finally we passed Lake Ontario on the left side of the RV and we knew that we were close.
Tonight we are in out campsite just a few miles from the Falls. The weather has been quite humid and it rained yesterday and last night. I expect more rain tonight but in a short while we are going to try to see the falls at night. Ell hopefully some pictures for the blog and we will be able to get wifi here.
