From St Joe to the Ford Museum

Benton Harbor St. Joe to Ypsilanti, MI
I left St. Joe as you all know after a wonderful visit with my cousin Vicki and Bill. I had just a great time at their home and their hospitality really did overwhelm me. The Drive on Hwy 94 was good but as I near more of the industrial areas of Michigan the traffic increased dramatically. There were still many truck farms with their fresh peaches, apples, plumbs, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, and lots of grapes. This seems to have become quite a wine area since my youth was spent here.
I tried looking for a campground in the vicinity of the Henry Ford Museum which is in I understand Dearborn, MI. But alas I could not find anything on my maps. It was late when I got to Ypsilante and I am still some miles to Dearborn so I got off the Hwy because there was a symbol on the map for a campground. Well the long and the short of it is that I am in the PineView Church Parking lot and will stay here for the night. I asked permission and it was ok with the church secretary and some others that were here so Scruffy and I will make ourselves a home here for the night and go to the Henry Ford Museum tomorrow.
It’s so nice to be self contained and not need to have electrical or water hookups for the night but I must admit I was spoiled by the campsites on the water with the view of swans or other wildlife out the window.
So long for now as it is time to make dinner and then read before bedtime.
