Kenai, AK

We took a side trip to Kenai, AK today to see what it was like. At the mouth of the Kenai River it was first a Russian Fort (yes they settled AK first), and a Russian Orthodox Church. It was an interesting little town and a good way to spend the morning hours. Next Taco Bell for lunch (the service took forever and then back to our campsite for reading and relaxing.
I got a fishing license today and will give it a try tomorrow. Maybe, I will get beginner's luck, or skunked but either way it should be fun.
Well I am now in the coffee shop for some e-mail and must finish this up.
1 An original one room schoolhouse
2 Some of Bev's Bear friends
3 A Russian Orthodox Church
4 Russian Fort buildings
5 Scout Park showing the Kenai River mouth.
