Indian Creek to Chicken, AK
This will be somewhat from memory because I forgot to write this post, or did not save it properly. The trip to Tok was much the same as what we had done before so I will not bore you with it. From Tok we went to Tetlin Jnk and then proceeded up the Taylor Hwy which is a dirt road and the only direct route to Dawson City. The road is very dusty and there are lots of potholes but the scenery again in AK can not be beat. When you reach the end of the Taylor Hwy you are now at Chicken, AK and there is not a lot to Chicken but a souvenir shop, post office (one room log cabin), some gas and some dredge equipment. There are about 12-15 people in Chicken in the winter months and only 20-40 in summer. There is no open road to Chicken in winter.
From there we proceeded to the border crossing into Canada at where else but Border.
