Anchorage to Indian Creek

Anchorage to Indian CreekTHe mext tow blogs are out of order as I lost them somewhere.

We made our way around the farmer’s market in Anchorage in the morning.  It was large by their standards and Bev bought an Ulu knife to have at home.  We still need to buy the bowl to go with it and then we headed out to Tok.  First we had to navigate the Glenn Hwy and I had never been on that one before.  It was winding and we basically navigated the valley of the Maranuska River and then came upon the Maranuska Glacier, probably the best example of an inland glacier that we have seen here.Next was Glenhellen where we had passed thru before and onto the Tok cutoff.  This road we had been on before and was the only road that we have traveled on twice since coming here as we had gone on it before from Tok to Valdez.  It is lots of frost heaves but paved.  We spent the night on the Indian Creek at a rest stop.  Very pretty and lots of mosquitoes ( the AK state bird).Lorne
