Flathead Lake Day 2
Well we are decompressing here at Flathead Lake at the Blue Marina on the Flathead Indian Reservation. It’s been nice to just relax these last few days and not have to hike or sightsee. I know vacations are rough and it’s hard to do all of that stuff but someone’s got to be out there spending money and doing it.
You can relax the old white haired guy went into Polson Montana yesterday and got a haircut. This in spite of Bev saying I should let it grow into a ponytail. She just wanted to have a 60’s hippie in bed with her is all, I think. You can learn a lot in a small town barber shop and that’s why I loved the one I picked. Old time shop, one chair, everyone in town comes in to talk politics and the local gossip and the fishing report. Kind of nice that it still exists and not a supercuts kind of thing.
Bev and I went to the library on Polson yesterday and I posted the blogs and she read newspapers to get caught up on the world’s events. The library is right next to the city park which runs along the lake and you could see the local kids out there swimming.
Later it was time for a burrito at the local Mexican/Pizza restaurant. Pretty good actually and we enjoyed the break from cooking our meals.
Back at the campsite which is right on the lake and has it’s own dock right out front I decided on a swim. After all the kids were all in the water and they said it was warm. I lasted all of 3 seconds and was out of there, this SoCal body was meant for warmer than that. But the kids were in all afternoon. Bev and I relaxed on the dock with some sunshine and a book. We are moving south today and this may actually get posted today.

I have a Polson Montana body and I don't last more than a few minutes in the water of Flathead either.
I'm afraid it's my age...
