Glacier Natl Park West Day 2
We spent a relaxing day today with a little sightseeing and some just plain nothing. Drove up the Road to the Sun to about the point on the west end that we had driven on the east end. I turned around because of road construction and the delays were said to be about 30-45 minutes. We did not see any wildlife today but did get to explore 2-3 waterfalls and the scenery was great. Next we went for a walk in the cedar forest and it had a lot of interpretive signs for us to look at. In the afternoon I had talked with the camp hosts (the Menefees) who had owned two previous Trek RVs one a 98 and an 03. Now they have a larger unit because they mostly stay in one place for the summer and wanted more room. They are hosts here at Glacier for the summer and this is their 4th year. And they live in Pennsylvania. Wow that’s a long trip for hosting.
We will be leaving the campground today and going south. Hopefully we will encounter a town with internet because I know I haven’t posted in a long time and we need to let Vera and Gabe know that Bev is coming home. Have not talked to them in a while and Bev needs to speak to our grandson.
Well in just a week I will be a husband without a wife when Bev leaves. Just Scruffie and I two bachelors on the road to the to the great lakes. If we don’t starve (not to worry about Scruffie he has lots of canned cat food) then all will be well and now that we are getting towards civilization there are lots of fast food restaurants.
Well we hope that all is well in SoCal and that the heat and the fires have not consumed everything. Thinking of everyone.
