Mitchell and the Corn Palace

Mitchell, SD and the Corn Palace
Well after the tires were replaced it was a little late to be moseying down the road so I took the Jeep and went to see the world famous Corn Palace. They redo the outside of the building every year with a different theme and all of it is decorated in corn. I just happen to be here at the time of the Corn Festival and the downtown streets were blocked off and a regular carnival was going on with all of the rides and bands to entertain you. So I stayed awhile and soaked up the Midwestern corn flavor and listened to the band that was playing.
Would have been nice to have had Bev here to see it all but I know that she is needed at home. Well tomorrow I go to Sioux Falls and will again leave the RV at the interstate and take the Jeep to see the falls. Then onto the next stop. Tonight is just WalMart parking lot with about 6-7 others. I did park over by a nice pond though at the outside of the parking lot. Some grass and looks like guess what corn right here beside me. In awhile Scruffy will want to go for his sunset walk.
