Glacier Natl Park West side

Glacier Natl Park West Side
We left St Mary area of Glacier Natl Park and went south first and missed our turnoff and wound up in Browning, MT off hwy 89. So we stopped there and went to the grocery stor to refurbish the pantry. Then it was off on Hwy 2 going first east thru the cattle country and the Blackfoot Indian Reservation. We passed a good sized herd of buffalo but did not stop this time for photos. Hwy 2 then swings north and you enter the west side of Glacier Natl Park. We could not take our RV thru the park as it is too long (21 feet max length on the To the Sun Road).
We are now settled into Fish Creek Campground in the park and are on Lake McDonald (?).
This is a nice spot and we were lucky to find one but with all the trees it is quite dark in the campsite. I’m afraid we missed our chance to see bears as it was the opposite direction that we should have turned.
We will stay here tonight and tomorrow night and then slowly wind our way down Hwy 40 and Hwy 35 past Flathead Lake to Hwy 93 and then Missoula MT.
Well hopefully we will have internet at Evergreen or Bigfoot MT otherwise these blogs just won’t get posted.
