Waterfall
In the water at the base of the falls
Campsite
Downriver from the falls
We went the night here in the park and it was just great. The drive to the park is down a 3-4 Km dirt road and you must pay a fee at the gate which is a voluntary amount. I gave her about $8.00 US. Then you enter the park and go another 1 Km to the parking area. Really just a dirt lot.
After settling in we hiked down to the waterfall. Really spectacular with the water cascading over the cliff and down into a pool area of about 200 feet across. We were there and swimming in the pool for about 2-3 hours and it was great. The water was refreshing and not cold as waterfalls are in the north.
And afterwards, a cold coconut to drink from the vendor in the parking lot.
At night the park is closed at 4:00 PM and so we spent the night here (park opens at 8:00 AM ) and we were all alone in this pristine area with just the sounds of the waterfall and the birds to contend with. It does not get any better than this.
