Isla Aguada to Uxmal,

Well last night was interesting with the sound of the surf in our ears like drum rolls in the night as the waves found their final resting place on the white sand beaches in front of us. The most restful of all nights with no stars because of the cloud cover so that it was black as a coal mine outside. The night watchman came by to assure us that he would watch over and protect us. So this morning we took him some treats and he was very thankful. The days driving was along white sand beaches for most of the way and where we could see them lagoons on the other side but mostly just trees covered with vines that had blue, white and yellow flowers on them. To say incredible was just the sort of thing that came to mind and literally few if any homes or people anywhere.
We did have our first military checkpoint where they actually came into the RV. And wouldn’t you know it right there on the table was a plastic bag that looked very much like marijuana. Well I assured the soldat that this was for my gato and was catnip. He seemed amused and showed it to his friend and they were gone.
We did have one agricultural stop yesterday and they did confiscate our oranges and fresh eggs. So we bought some more at the next city which was no real loss as there were only two eggs and about 5 oranges.
Today we arrived at Uxmal which in Mayan means three to see the ruins here. But that is the next post
