Notre-Dame-du-Lac

Notre-Dame-du-Lac
Well we are here on the lake and the sun is trying to shine thru the clouds. I hope that this is an omen of the weather for today and tomorrow. It is supposed to be good for the next two days and then we are to have rain again. Oh well, you just can not have everything.
Today was a lazy day, we had thought of doing some laundry but the town does not have a laundromat. Well that got us out of some work for the day.
So we went to the next town over and to the fromagiere (cheese factory) and bought some cheese and watched thru the window while they made some cheese. Then we went to the supermarket ( I forgot what that was called in French) but the did have a good boulangerie (bakery) and so I bought some bread. Now a bakery and cheese section in a French town are something else to behold. Yesssirreeee, you just can’t have toooooo many kinds of bread and cheese in your store. There are kinds of course that we have never heard of and so you use your imagination and buy something that looks good.
Now we are in the RV and I have once again looked at the steps on the RV and have whacked and brushed and oiled everything and the darn things work half of the time and the other &*&)*)*)(* they just stay out. I wish that they would just stay in and then I would not have to be bothered (just jump down and up and you can still get in. Ah well, tomorrow is another day to look and see if I can solve the problem.
Across the lake as the sun comes out you can surely see the fall colors on the trees. The forest is a dazzle of the colors of the artists palate.
Tomorrow we will head south again and first into Maine and then into New Brunswick to possibly St. John to the Bay of Fundy. I am thinking we will not get to Nova Scotia because of the time and the weather (remember they just had a hurricane there) and I would like to see some sunshine for awhile.
We went for a walk in the woods today and it was a great path to follow. Just imagine the trees changing color all around you, the scent of wild apples on some of the trees and the lake off to your side. That along with the cottages that surround the lakeshore made for a really neat time.
Well that is all for today.
