Littleton to Douglas

Littleton to Douglas and then Plymouth, Mass
We left for Bev’s cousin David’s home in Douglas, Mass yesterday and visited with he and his lovely wife Natasha and their son Anton. They have a lovely home in the countryside with lots of acreage and they are in the finishing stages of landscaping the yard.
First we went for lunch at a really great seafood restaurant in a place that I can not remember because David was driving. When they heard that Bev liked lobster we went by a market and you could get 4 lobsters that were 1.25 lbs for only $27.00. Wow, that was less than I paid for Bev’s lobster dinner alone in the restaurants.
David is just a great chef and he cooked us up a really great lobster feast. Bev was in heaven.
The next morning unfortunately it was time to leave after chef David made a great breakfast again of sausage, eggs and toast.
Before leaving however David put us into his genealogy program and printed out a copy for Bev to fill in. He can now trace the family back to the 1400’s and he has done a dna study that shows where the original parents mother and father came from.
Natasha was such a wonderful person to meet for the first time (we have not seen David in perhaps 20 years). She is from the Ukraine and speaks that language plus Russian and English. She was a delight to talk with and get to know and although she is the less talkative of the two you could tell that she was an excellent partner for the more vocal and demonstrative Italian in David. Both were simply a joy to be with, and along with enjoying our time with his twin brother Charles or Chuck it made Boston seem a family city for us as well as being the historical center that it is.
We are now in Plymouth, Mass and this was a short 1 1/2 hour drive and today we will just rest for this evening (no sightseeing). Tomorrow we will tour Plymouth and then the next day will be Plimoth Plantation which is a historical recreation village and town that Bev has wanted to visit. Gee, we seem to do the things that she wants to do. I wonder why? Possibly it is the former teacher that comes out even now that she is retired. Ah, well the old white haired guy is just along for the ride (but what a ride it is).
PS And thank you David if you read this for the Fall Colors Guide
