Fredericton to St. John
We are now here in St John at the Rockwood Park RV park which is inside Rockwood Park close to the downtown of St. John. It took some doing to get here but I am glad that we made the effort as this is close to all of the historic areas and yet rural because you are in a large rural park.
We had reallllllly strong rain all the way here and windy too. I think that these hurricanes are just not behaving in the proper manner for us. We stopped at RV World in Fredericton and tried to get the generator fixed there but they referred us to the Cummings Dealer and said that they were the ones who worked on the Onan generators. So off to the large and I mean large truck dealership and asked about the generator being serviced. Well there only generator service tech was gone for two days somewhere else and that meant no service. They were helpful however in telling me how to read the codes so if the weather clears and I have the time I will look at the fault code to see if I can find out where the problem is. But this is probably something that will have to wait.
The good thing is that the steps are up and now I have disabled them so that they do not stick out.
We did laundry downtown today because of the weather and so that chore is done for another week or month or until we feel dirty again.
We also strolled thru the City Market which is a kind of farmers market here and then next door (you go thru an underground walkway) was a five story shopping center and they have another one connected to it in the next block. Really a pretty neat idea for a place that gets a lot of rain and snow.
We are now relaxing in the Trek waiting to go out to dinner. I thought that I would take Bev for seafood tonight down on Water St. where we can see the harbor. Possibly score some points for the home team.
Well tomorrow should be sunny as the weatherman has said and the skies have finally cleared here. Wow do I hope that this rain is behind us. Can you tell I’m tired of the rain.
Sorry no pictures today there was so much rain it was really quite impossible to take them.
